The American news website The Monitor, specializing in Middle East affairs, confirmed that the number of Egyptian workers in Libya is expected to exceed two million by 2024.
The newspaper mentioned, citing the Foreign Workers Employment Office under the Cairo Commercial Chamber, that a large number of these Egyptian workers will go to Libya as soon as the Egyptian embassy and consulate in Tripoli reopen which is expected to take place mid-2021.
