The Ajman Criminal Court issued a prison sentence for 6 Asian suspects and deported them from the country, for the charge of human trafficking with other unknown suspects. They were charged with luring girls through social media, detaining them, and forcing them to work for prostitution.
It has been stated that a migrant domestic worker met a woman through Facebook, who complained about her sponsor’s mistreatment. The second woman offered her work as a maid in a different place for a better salary, but she agreed and ran away.
The migrant worker reported that she was detained and that her phone, identity card, and clothes were taken from her, where she found herself in a flat with five girls of the same nationality. The complainant stated that she sent the coordinates of her location to the police, where she was reached and the criminals arrested.
