Libya: 8 kidnapped Egyptian workers were freed

Last week, it has been announced that the inhabitants of Bani Walid freed eight Egyptian workers from a smuggling group that had kidnapped them.

Human rights sources stated that eight Egyptian workers entered Libya illegally and were kidnapped by human smuggling groups near the city of Bani Walid, southwest of the capital, Tripoli. They added that they had been liberated by the people.

The sources reported that the kidnappers demanded 50,000 Libyan dinars in exchange for their release.
