The recent decision by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to suspend air traffic has caused many complications for Egyptian migrants working in Saudi Arabia and currently in Egypt making them unable to return to work.
A large number of workers blocked in Egypt and the Ministries of Manpower and Immigration in Egypt and Saudi Arabia appealed to an extension of their visas, whose validity expired during the suspension period of air traffic between the two countries.
They also called on the Egyptian Ministry of Health to allow them to get free COVID-19 tests, after the expiration of their previous tests during the air traffic suspension as a measure to confront the pandemic.
In this regard, the Saudi ambassador in Cairo confirmed that Saudi Arabia will extend the period of visas and residency in light of the suspension of air traffic.
