About 200 workers in an international hotel unit in Agadir organized a protest on April 28, 2021, to denounce the decision of closing down the unit.
The decision came unexpected especially since the company recently opened a chain of hotels in Morocco and abroad. The protesters demanded the responsible authorities to resume the activity of the hotel unit and to cancel their decision to close it.
It is worth noting that the hotel unit is owned by a French investor company that has entered Agadir since 1965
The company justified the closure decision by the absence of tourist attractions in the city.
