Cleaning workers in Shamiyah at the Diwaniyah governorate organized a strike in the municipality and blocked its entrances in order to demand payment of their salaries and the implementation of ministerial decree No. 315.
The ministerial decree No. 315 of 2019 provides the completion of the procedures of changing workers’ status from daily-wage workers to contractual workers for those who have been employed more than a year.
