The National Syndicate of Private Education found violations in private schools, including forcing teachers to work for complete shifts and prohibiting them from the alternation system in the light of the pandemic crisis.
The head of the teachers’ union committee stated that the Ministry of Education’s statement, issued on March 11th, 2021 to the administrations of private schools and kindergartens regarding the health protocol, explicitly ordered that administrators, teachers, and service workers should work according to the shift system.
He explained that private schools obliged teachers to always be present in schools without any valid reason despite switching to distance learners.
The union official urged further monitoring private schools to control the violations that teachers are subject to during quarantine.
