Travel Agencies represented by the Jordanian Association of Tourism and Travel Agents threatened to close down and dismiss workers by the end of March if the government does not respond to their demands and attempts to save the sector.
These demands mainly include financial support and categorizing travel agencies according to their accurate situation through the Social Security Corporation. It is worth noting that the sector is totally paralysed by the pandemic.
The sector includes about 800 companies and branches and 10,000 employees.
