The General Syndicate of Spinning and Weaving has demanded compensation for the families of the victims of the fire that broke out in the textile factory in Obour City, in which twenty workers died and twenty-four others were injured.
In a statement issued on March 11th, the Syndicate called on the Ministry of Health and the Governorate of Qalyubiyya to provide the necessary care for the burnt victims and to provide compensation to the families of the deceased.
The Syndicate stressed the need to ensure measures of safety and occupational health in the industrial areas to avoid similar incidents in the future.
