The number of Arab and foreign migrant workers in Lebanon has decreased because of COVID-19 and the collapse of the local currency.
Information International, a Lebanese statistics company, stated that work permits decreased in 2020 to 9,780, after reaching 57,957 in 2019 including different nationalities.
The decline in the number of migrant workers in Lebanon was accompanied by the fall of the Lebanese currency compared the American Dollar which widened the gap between foreign and local workers.
