The National Federation of Employees’ and Workers’ Unions in Lebanon (FENASOL) denounces the situation of the social security system. The Union accused the Lebanese authorities of neglecting its duties towards social security and the insured money. The collapse of the social security system is due to the state’s failure to pay its dues (4,500 billion) to social security.
The union said that the failure to form an effective board of directors made up of experts and representatives of workers led to its collapse.
The Union expressed its support to FENASOL and called for serious solutions for the preservation of social security and the money of the insured. He called on trade unions and workers to defend social security.
