Several Tunisian civil society organizations have asked the government to allow irregular migrants, migrants without identity or identity documents, and refugees to be vaccinated against COVID-19 equally to all Tunisian citizens.
These organizations expressed their concern about the marginalization of the vulnerable groups, especially migrants, refugees, and asylum seekers in Tunisia who are already victims of social discrimination and poverty and are deprived of decent work and resources especially during the pandemic crisis.
These organizations called for a governmental intervention to help these groups. Tunisian authorities warned against any type of discrimination against these groups during the vaccination process.
