Workers of the Alexandria Spinning & Weaving Co. in Sadat started a strike on March 1st, in solidarity with their colleagues (four) who were arbitrarily dismissed after the company decided to end their work contracts.
More than 300 workers participated in the strike, as it was considered an arbitrary and unfair dismissal since the expelled workers spent more than five years working for the company. The company previously fired many workers as part of its new policy.
