The Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy in Qatar signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the National Human Rights Committee of Qatar to raise awareness of individuals and societies on issues related to human rights. This memorandum aims to take all aspects related to human rights and labour issues into consideration in the FIFA World Cup project that Qatar 2022 will be hosting.
It is worth noting that the State of Qatar had issued several laws related to workers in late 2018, abolishing the sponsorship system, and regulating the entry and exit of expatriates into its lands.
