In a statement by the teachers’ syndicate, 124 complaints have been registered from both male and female teachers on being forced to return the salaries paid by the school after it has been covered by social security.
The head of the teachers’ committee of the union declared that the teachers returned their salaries for fear of losing their jobs.
He called on the official authorities to further supervise the schools and put an end to the violations that have increased with the pandemic, including wrongful dismissals, cutting salaries, adding tasks that were not agreed upon in the contract, faking the teachers’ contributions to social security, and ignoring minimum wage.
