Around 800 dismissed workers from the Automobile Installation Factory in the industrial zone of the municipality of Sidi Khetab organized a protest in front of the company’s headquarters. The dismissed workers protest against the way they were fired. They have a number of demands that should guarantee their rights in work, livelihood for them and their families, and preserving their jobs.
Their demands include fixing their work contracts, the current and expired ones. They, also, want to change their temporary employment contracts to permanent ones in accordance with the Article 12 of the Law 90-11.
The workers appealed to the higher authorities of the state to preserve the factory that employs workers from 38 municipalities of the governorate.
