The National Union for Justice of the Democratic Confederation of Labour in Morocco announced that its members started a hunger strike by carrying a badge on February 16th.
The union clarified that this strike was decided to protest against what it described as the forced labour system, the enslavement of the employees in the Justice sector, administrative intimidation, and oppressing the right to unionize.
The Syndicate said in a statement that if the salaries of the protesters will be cut, they will be boycotting guarding employment concours that are held outside the official working hours and do not fall within the duties of justice employees in the first place.
In conclusion, the union called on its engineers to participate in a national general strike on the 16, 17, and 18 of February in order for them to obtain their dues according to the law.
In conclusion, the union stressed the need to improve the working and living conditions of the employees who are invited to participate in guarding the concours.
