In a statement by the Association of Official Professional and Technical Education in Lebanon, teachers were called to start a strike on February 2nd, in all Lebanese institutes and schools to defend their rights.
The League discussed in its meeting the poor economic and social situation of teachers. The strike is intended to be a warning to the authorities about student drop outs as well as a defence of their rights in the light of the crisis the country has been going through.
