Members of the Moroccan Doctors Union carried out a national strike on January 13-14, 2021, and a sit-in in front of the headquarters of the Ministry of Higher Education.
The denounced the corruption in the ministry and particularly the practices of appointment and recruitment.
They declared that the ministry expressed its desire to solve their problems and meet their demands since last year but failed to do so.
The doctoral research declared that it is unjust to be protesting in the streets instead of working in the scientific labs.
Ultimately, the National General Union called on all doctors to be ready for more radical measures including open sit-ins and protests.
