Since the start of the pandemic, the Jordanian Ministry of Labour launched a number of electronic services, including a platform for worker protection that allows them to file a complaint if the Defence Order No. 6 gets violated. Ministry inspectors review and verify these complaints.
Since the beginning of the pandemic last March until the end of 2020, the ministry filed 1,276 cases of violation to the law.
The number of complaints in 2020 was more than 68,000, including issues like delaying wages and termination of services.
