The T.PM. Transport company announced a sudden decision to suspend its work in Ksar es-Seghir and Tangiers and close down its site in Farsioua because of the negative impacts of Covid-19, as it was declared in an announcement directed to the workers.
The company's decision caused about 160 workers who were working in the aforementioned workshops to become jobless and with no income. They were informed, through a written announcement of an intermediary company of recruitment, that work is totally suspended from January 1, 2021 and that they may be called to work in case a new site is established elsewhere.
Some of these workers considered themselves victims of the work code in Morocco. They, also, expressed their indignation towards being employed company but, actually, working for another one that does not offer any job guarantee.
