Saudi Arabia Warning Workers to Prepare for the Cold Wave

The Saudi Arabian Human Rights Commission insists on protecting workers from the cold wave, both at home or at work. It, also, confirmed providing the necessary tools for work especially outdoors. The commission follows rules of safety and health management systems in the work environment as a key element to protecting workers’ rights that will contribute to their well-being and a better work performance.

The commission declared that the workers’ safety is to be watched by all the concerned authorities. Saudi Arabia initiated regulations that include safety measures, work security, protection of workers’ rights, and, chiefly, the work code that insists on all the previous conditions.

Other regulations the commission included are administration of security and work safety. It, also, introduced the national strategic program for occupational health and safety.

The commission draws attention to the importance of housing in these exceptional circumstances as a fundamental right of the workers.
