The Center for Trade Union & Workers’s Services (CTUWS) said that the directory of Manpower of Gharbia Governorate sent a report—Trade Union Organizations Affairs under the number 5176 of 12/31/2020—to the President of the Trade Union Committee, to say that “it is not allowed to create another trade union committee for property taxes within the establishment in the Gharbia Governorate.” It declared that there already is a union named “Workers' Trade Union Committee of Property Taxes of Gharbia.”
Contrary to the previous promises of the Ministry of Manpower to solve the problems related to unions, the report shows if anything else its unreadiness to acknowledge the unions that have all the necessary criteria to be officially registered.
The committee created by the minister of Manpower to solve the problems of unions has proven to be ineffective.
