Yemen: women's despair and anger after their exclusion from the new government formation

Protests by Yemeni women turned into demonstrations and rallies on the ground after they were excluded from the new government formation.

In this context, media sources reported that several activists, politicians and academics organized protest rallies in different cities across the country to denounce this exclusion.

The women protesters called for the implementation of the contents of the agenda of Resolution 1325 regarding the protection of women and their effective and equal participation in the preservation of peace and security in the country.

It should be recalled that several feminist organizations had launched campaigns on social networks to denounce the marginalization of women by all political parties in Yemen. Yemeni women have been totally excluded from the new government team for the first time in 20 years.
