Five days after the lifting of the strike of workers at the Jbel Aouam mine – a 9-day strike during which one hundred workers had organized a sit-in at a depth of 700 meters – the first dialogue session between the Touissit Mining Company (CMT) and the workers was organized in Casablanca.
According to the minutes of this first meeting, the general secretariat of the union, under the Moroccan Labor Union (UMT) and the workers' representatives of the Jbel Aouam mine managed to reach an agreement with the employer representatives at the end of this meeting.

The UMT had announced the strike of the workers at the Jbel Aouam mine on December 14. The workers demand the application of the memorandum of understanding signed in 2019 with the administration and the Ministry of Energy. This agreement concerns the improvement of working conditions in the mines.
