Saudi Arabia deposits the instruments of ratification of two international conventions

Saudi Arabia has deposited the instruments of ratification of International Convention No. 95 on Protection of Wages, 1949, and International Convention No. 120 on Hygiene (Commerce and Offices), 1964. The deposit of the instruments was made at ILO headquarters in Geneva in the presence of its Director-General, Guy Ryder.

International Convention No. 95 on the Protection of Wages, 1949, is the first international instrument to deal with all details and aspects of wages and to protect, as far as possible, workers' achievements. 95 countries have ratified this convention.

International Convention No. 120 on Hygiene (Commerce and Offices), 1964, stipulates that the premises and equipment used by workers must be fully maintained, cleaned and provided with adequate and appropriate ventilation and lighting. The text has been ratified by 51 States.
