Jordan: a $100 million programme to help day labourers impacted by the pandemic

The Jordanian Minister of Social Development announced the launch of a programme to assist informal sector workers impacted by the pandemic.

The Minister explained that the programme consists of two main components; the first component will provide additional support to poor families and will increase the number of beneficiary families from 150,000 to 185,000.

The second part of the programme includes a solidarity programme for day labourers affected by Covid-19. This second component will benefit 100,000 families with a budget of 100 million dinars financed by foreign aid.
