The Saudi Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development presented a clarification regarding the transfer of workers to another company without the employer's permission (the kafil). This clarification was made after a worker asked whether, with an expired residence, he could change jobs without the approval of his kafil.
In a publication on its Tweeter count, the Ministry explained that the transfer of a worker to another company without the permission of the current employer is possible if the residence and work permit have expired, if the worker has not been paid for three consecutive months and if the worker has been marked absent despite regular work attendance.
