Yemen: the inhabitants of the town of Ta'izz protest

The inhabitants of the town of Ta'izz organised on Friday 11th December 2020 big protests against the devaluation of the national currency. The protesters explained that this devaluation endangers the lives of all Yemenis.

Here are the slogans that were chanted by the protesters:

#Revolution_of_bread

#Hunger_Revolution

#We_want_to_live

#Our_bread_winner_is_untouchable

It is worth noting that the majority of Yemen's governorates are experiencing a surge in prices caused by the devaluation of the national currency. This crisis became more pronounced after the transfer of the Central Bank to Aden. The adoption of the new currency was not respected throughout the country, which was divided between new and old currency.
