Under the slogan "Democratic Journalism: consolidation of pluralism, freedom and responsibility", the National Union of Media and Press, part of the Democratic Labor Confederation (CDT), inaugurated, Saturday, December 12, 2020, its founding congress in the presence of several journalists, photographers and directors of publishing houses.
Discipline, transparency, democracy and respect for historical responsibility were the key words of the session at the end of which the National Council of the Union unanimously elected Abdelhedi Néji as the Union's Secretary General. The 27 members of the Union's national board were also elected.
