Engineers working in public companies and establishments have started a three-day work strike today. The engineers are demanding the application of the wage increase agreed by the agreement of September 5, 2019.
During the three-day strike, the engineers will organize a protest rally in front of the Tunisian government’s presidential headquarters accompanied by regional rallies in front of the various governorates. On Tuesday, the engineers will gather in front of Parliament before heading to the headquarters of the Order of Tunisian Engineers in Tunis.
Note that a previous agreement between the Order of Tunisian Engineers and the government had made it possible to postpone this strike to continue negotiations.
