The postal unions of the Moroccan Union of Labour (UMT) and the Democratic Confederation of Labour (CDT) announced a general strike for 26 and 27 November.
In a joint statement, the two workers' representatives explained that this strike was decided after the administration of Poste Maroc ignored the recent wage increases decided by the government and neglected to compensate for the under-staffing.
The two unions also agreed to organize a protest rally in front of the central headquarters of Poste Maroc in Casablanca on Thursday 26 November from 10 am.
