Workers of the Belhadj Knafez Agricultural Group in Berkane are witnessing a general labour strike and are organizing an open sit-in on all farms since last Thursday. The workers are protesting against the priority that violated the Labour Code by suspending union officials and refusing any dialogue on workers' demands.
In this context, the Regional Confederal Union of Berkane, under the Democratic Confederation of Labour (CDT), denounced the police intervention against the sit-inIn and called on local authorities to do justice to workers by restoring the rights guaranteed by the Labour Code.
