The association 'Women First' launched last Monday the 'Zina' project in Sidi Bouzid. Supported by the European Union, this project focuses on women workers in the agricultural sector in the rural areas of western Sidi Bouzid. The project aims to improve the health of these workers and to raise their awareness of the dangers of using chemicals in their work.
The project proposes several activities and carries out a field study on the health status of women workers in the agricultural sector. It also includes an awareness-raising campaign on protection against chemicals used in the sector by interviewing women who have had health problems due to the use of chemicals. The project also aims to launch a campaign to support women workers in the health sector with the support of the media, associations and administrations concerned with the issue.
