Iraq: Seminar on the impact of financial and economic policies on workers

In collaboration with the ILO Bureau of Workers' Activities (ACTRAV), the Conference of Trade Unions and Federations of Iraq organised an online seminar on the impact of economic and financial policies on workers.

ACTRAV representative Mustapha Said and Nabil Marssoumi, Professor of Economics at the University of Basra, presented presentations on the topic of the seminar, which concluded that the proposed economic and financial policies will have a profound impact on the way of life of workers and vulnerable classes.

Some speakers also discussed the trade union situation in Iraq and the effects of privatization on the socio-economic situation.
