Jordanian medical and security sources reported that a domestic worker died after being mistakenly thrown into a garbage shredder.
According to security sources, the worker who fled her employer’s home was forced to sleep in a public waste container. During their passage, the municipal officers, who did not notice the presence of the victim in the container, emptied the waste into the shredder.
After the discovery of the incident, the judicial authorities authorized the autopsy of the corpse and opened an investigation that will continue until all the details of the incident are revealed. For its part, a medical source revealed that the body had multiple fractures and traces that confirm the death by crushing by the waste shredder.
