At the end of a meeting between the General Union of Moroccan Workers (GUMW) and the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (GCME), the secretary-general of the trade union center, Anaâm Mayara, said that the meeting is part of the tripartite consultations (Government, Employers and Workers) and the study of the economic and social impacts of Covid-19.
The Secretary-General added that the participants also discussed the bill on trade unions and professional organizations and the bill on the strike.
For his part, the president of the CGEM, Chakib Alj, said that both parties insisted on the need to activate alternative dispute resolution mechanisms and especially the social mediation mechanism in order to anticipate any risk of impacts of this pandemic on employment and business.
