The General Trade Union of General Service and Professional Workers has called on the Governor of the Central Bank to continue lending to the catering sector until the end of this year.
In a letter from the President of the Trade Union to the Governor of the Central Bank, the organisation explained that these loans will enable restaurants to maintain their activities and pay their employees.
The Union reiterated that catering is one of the sectors that employ the most workers in Jordan and has been greatly impacted by the Covid-19 crisis.
