Last Friday, the Libyan Coast Guard managed to rescue irregular migrants whose boat capsized off the coast of the city of Bengazi.
The migrants were taken to hospital in Bengazi while their boat was confiscated by police according to a source close to the local authorities. According to the same source, 14 migrants, mostly from Bengal, were rescued by the medical staff of the city hospital. The migrants will then be transferred to the reception centre for irregular migrants in Bengazi.
