The spokesman for the Ministry of Labour said the ministry has put in place a new strategic plan to attract new investment in the West Bank and Gaza. According to the official, several projects have been started in both regions while another one, intended to deal with the pandemic in the Gaza Strip, is underway.
He highlighted that the World Bank project is dedicated to addressing the impacts of Covid-19 and helping workers, especially those in the West Bank, who have been impacted by the pandemic. Following an intervention by the Minister of Labour, the World Bank project will now provide assistance to workers in Gaza. The spokesman for the ministry said that both regions need these investments in order to meet the urgent needs of the population at the time of the health crisis.
