World Economic Forum: Robots cut 85 million jobs

A World Economic Forum study found that robots will eliminate about 85 million jobs over the next five years.

A survey of 300 global companies found that Four out of five executives are accelerating the implementation of strategies to digitize work through new techniques, which risks reversing the gains in employment achieved since the 2007-2008 financial crisis.

The study revealed that half of the workers who will remain in their jobs over the next five years will need to acquire new skills and that by 2025, employers will divide work equally between people and machines.

The World Economic Forum highlighted that more than 97 million jobs will be created in the healthcare economy in technological industries, such as artificial intelligence; This proves that a radical change in the labour market is about to take place with the disappearance of whole sectors and the emergence of new sectors.
