Due to the economic crisis facing the Palestinian government, the Ministry of Finance was forced to adopt a timetable for the payment of civil servants' salaries. According to this schedule, salaries in excess of $500 will be paid in half starting from September 29th.
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has granted aid to the Palastinian Authority to meet its financial needs and pay wages. However, it appears that this assistance is limited to West Bank officials and excludes those in the Gaza Strip.
