The Democratic Labor Confederation (CDT by its French acronym) renewed its alert to the accuracy of the current phase and the seriousness of the growing pandemic, the high number of deaths as well as the deficit of the health system, and its structure to respond to the huge number of health service seekers.
CDT Executive Office warned of the total devotion behind the economic and health issue, neglecting the social aspect, and the need to support the working class and vulnerable groups, calling for allocating stable income to those affected by the repercussions of COVID-19.
Commenting on the various preventive measures being taken, CDT Executive Office expressed its rejection and denunciation of using the state of health emergency to restrict rights and freedoms, restrict the right to demonstrate, and besiege union work.
CDT’s Executive Office also saluted the positive commitment of a number of companies to approve the second part of the increase in the minimum wage, and denounced the non-commitment of most companies to implement this increase.
