Morocco: signing of employment agreements for agricultural workers with European countries

In accordance with an exceptional agreement, signed to provide manpower to save the orange harvest season, France has organized flights for 900 Moroccan seasonal workers to the island of Corsica.

In the same context, the Italian Ministry of the Interior has announced that 30,000 positions are available for seasonal and non-seasonal workers from non-EU countries such as Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia and Egypt.

With these hiring plans, Italy and France are trying to avoid the crisis in the harvest of agricultural products. A crisis that Spain went through during the first wave of the pandemic and which caused it a major shortage in its markets.
