The Spanish government has contacted its Moroccan counterpart to facilitate the recruitment of seasonal Moroccan farmers for the new harvest season.
The newspaper Huelva reported that the Spanish Regional Committee for Monitoring Partnership and Cooperation in the Agricultural Sector met on Friday to set out health provisions for the new agricultural season. The same source noted that the meeting focused on the health protocol that will be applied to contain the spread of Covid-19.
The newspaper Huelva reported that the members of the Committee proposed to bring back Moroccan women farmers by boat and indicated that transport, housing, work and the return of women workers to Morocco at the end of the season will be guaranteed.
