The Kuwaiti Ministry of Education has issued a decision prohibiting the transfer of foreign workers to the private sector. Four categories, which must obtain an official document from the General Authority of Labour Forces, are excluded from this prohibition; these are the spouses and children of Kuwaitis and children born in Kuwait.
The Palestinians, who have the necessary documents and who work in technical professions in the health sector in companies accredited by the Ministry of Health, are also excluded from this decision.
For its part, the General Authority of Labour Forces sent official correspondence to the Ministry of Education calling on it to give priority to knowledge and to instruct specialists to take the necessary steps to do so.
