Hfaiedh Hfaiedh, member of the executive office of the Tunisian General Labor Union (UGTT), confirmed that an agreement took place, on Tuesday, September 15, 2020, after a meeting at the Kasbah Palace between the government and an UGTT delegation.
Hfaiedh explained in a video published by the Prime Ministry on its official Facebook page that the Minister of Social Affairs, after consulting with both UGTT and the Tunisian Union of Industry and Trade (UTICA), will issue an order regarding the increase in the guaranteed minimum wage, or the so-called “SMIG” in Tunisia.
