According to a Tunis Union official about the decision to postpone the scheduled strike by Tunis Transport Company on September 15 and 16.
Secretary-General of the Regional Labor Union in Tunis stated in a statement to the Tunis Africa News Agency (TAP) that the decision to cancel the strike came after the Minister of Transport pledged to follow up the professional demands of the Tunisian transport company’s affiliates.
The Secretary-General also explained that the trade union and administrative parties have agreed to hold three expected negotiation sessions on September 20 and next October 14 and 28.
After the conciliatory session that was held today at the headquarters of the Ministry of Transport, the trade union party decided to postpone the sectorial strike until November 9 and 10, according the same source.
The decision to postpone the strike was the result of a decision made by the trade union party, after receiving guarantees from the Ministry of Transport that they will follow up on the demands of the Tunisian Transportation Company’s affiliates.
