Tunisia: What Happened in the Meeting Between the General Syndicate of Public Health and the New Minister?

The official page of the Tunisian General Labor Union (UGTT) published the contents of the meeting that brought the general secretary of the General Syndicate of Health together with the new Minister of Health. The General Secretary presented during the meeting the most important concerns of the people of the sector, which was summarized in the following points:

· The need to provide protection for health professionals to confront the Coronavirus in accordance with scientific and international standards

· Activating the Supreme Council of Health

· Accelerating the continuation of negotiations that led the previous government to the need to withdraw the sectoral privacy of workers in the health sector

· Entitling of the third batch of the exceptional promotion which should be granted within the deadline of October 2020

· Accelerating the issuance of decisions related to file upgrades for various employees under the title of the year 2020

· Expediting the demarcation of the delegated personnel for contracting and rejecting fixed-term contracts

· Assigning at least 3000 different personnel

· Accelerating the organization of a joint workshop on opening scientific prospects and linking the scientific path to the professional one

The Syndicate also expressed its appreciation of the positive interaction of the Minister of Health for the relevance and legitimacy of the demands.
