According to a decision made by the province of Tangier-Tetouan, Al-Hoceima, Morocco, workers from companies in the industrial areas of Tangier will be prevented from traveling outside Tangier to spend the Eid holidays with their families and relatives.
According to a press release of the Industrial Zone Association in Tangier, a meeting with the association and the governor was concluded with the decision to prohibit companies from granting travel permissions to their employees.
The governor also instructed all local authorities not to grant travel permissions to all citizens wanting to leave Tangier, as a preventive measure against the potential further outbreak of the Coronavirus.
This decision is expected to create massive discontent among workers, given the presence of more than 250.000 workers who have been spending the holiday season with their families outside Tangier.
